Pregnancy can hold so many feelings at once. You may feel grateful for the life growing within you while also feeling tired, uncomfortable, or uncertain about what lies ahead. Some days are filled with excitement. Other days, you simply need strength to get through the next appointment, the next change, or the next night.
You can bring every part of this journey to God. You do not need to hide your worries or find perfect words before you pray.
A Gentle Reminder Before You Pray
As you prepare to welcome your baby, allow yourself to receive care, ask questions, and rest when you need to. Needing support does not make you weak.
Isaiah 41:10 offers words to return to when fear grows louder than hope: God’s presence and help are the foundation of courage. You can pray for a safe delivery while trusting Him with the details you cannot control.
A Prayer for Strength and Safe Delivery
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the precious life growing within me. You know my baby, my body, and every emotion I carry through this pregnancy. Today, I place both of us in Your loving care.
Strengthen me when I feel tired. Give me rest when my body is uncomfortable and peace when my thoughts run ahead to everything that could happen. Help me take this journey one day at a time.
Please watch over my baby’s growth and development. Protect our health, and give me wisdom to care for myself throughout this season. Help me recognize when I need support and speak openly about my concerns.
Bless the doctors, midwives, nurses, and everyone involved in our care. Give them attention, sound judgment, and compassion.
As delivery approaches, steady my heart. I ask for a safe birth and protection for my baby and me. Give me strength through labor and wisdom for every decision. When plans change, surround me with capable care and people who will help me feel heard.
Prepare my heart for the days after birth, too. Bring healing, practical help, and patience as we adjust to life together. Help me receive love as freely as I give it.
Walk with us through each stage of this journey.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
